Anticipated Book Releases 2016

2016 is a new year full of new books. Now that the year has finally started, I thought I’d go over all my most anticipated book releases of the new year.

First on my list is Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare. This is due to be released on March 8th and is a new trilogy that will take place within the Shadowhunters world. Cassandra Clare is one of my favourite authors and I cannot wait to delve back into the Shadowhunter world from a whole new perspective. This is probably the book that I’m most excited about for this year and I am eagerly awaiting the release date.

Next up is Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard which is going to be released on February 9th. I really loved the first book in this series, Red Queen, which ended on a huge cliffhanger. Red Queen had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and there were so many twists that I wasn’t expecting throughout. I’m really looking forward to Glass Sword and I’m hoping that it surprises me just as much as Red Queen did.

My favourite book of 2015 was A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. May 3rd will see the release of the second book within the series, A Court of Mist and Fury. I am really eager to see what will take place within this next book and knowing Sarah J Maas, it is going to be amazing.

The Last Star by Rick Yancey is due for release on May 24th. It is the last book in the 5th Wave trilogy and I’m hoping it’s going to be an epic conclusion to the story. I loved the 5th Wave and thought the basis of the story was really interesting so I’m excited to see how the whole series is wrapped up. Also I’m really excited to see the 5th Wave movie which is out this month!

That’s all for my 2016 most anticipated releases. There are loads more books that are out this year, but these are just a few that I am looking forward to the most. I’d love to see good contemporary books released this year as they’re so much fun to read and also really easy to get in to. This year is definitely going to be really good for books!
