Beth’s Questions:

What is your favourite quote from a book you read this year (2018)?

“Cabbage, Konstantin noted with disgust. He was mortally weary of cabbage.” – The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden.

I haven’t been able to read anywhere near as much as I would have liked to this month, but this is definitely my favourite quote so far, mainly because it made me laugh!

Are there any places/countries books have made you dream of going, real-life or fictional places?

One thing I love about reading is that it introduces me to new worlds, both fictional and real. There are some places that I never would have thought about visiting, that I now really want to go to thanks to books! Prague and Montenegro are now really high on my list!

If you could see one book made into a film, and know the adaptation was going to be a good one, what would you choose and why?

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. It’s one of my favourite series of all time, and it has so much potential to be an amazing film. I would love to see a faithful adaptation of a Shadowhunters book that actually stuck to the plot of the books, and I feel like The Infernal Devices has something that everyone would enjoy.

 My Questions:

What is one book you wish you could read again, as if it were the first time?

If you could co-write a book with any author, who would you choose?

What is one genre that you really want to read more of this year?

  1. Great answers for this tag. 🙂 I have The Bear and The Nightingale on my TBR list for this year so I’m hoping to get to it soon. Also I really hope you make it to Prague one day, I went there a few years ago and loved it. I’m hoping to go back one day soon. The Infernal Devices would make a great movie, fingers crossed one day we’ll see it on the big screen right? 😀

  2. Thank you so much for nominating me. ❤ Love the questions you came up and especially love the quote you picked out. I haven't read The Bear and the Nightingale yet but that quote made me crack up so I'll have to check it out soon. 🙂

  3. Every reader’s dream is to KNOW a book-to-movie adaption will be a good one! 😝 I’d love to see Code Name Verity made into a movie, but it’d be really hard to translate onto screen I think.
