This weeks Top 5 Tuesday is such a fun one because I’ve always wondered what it would be like to meet my favourite authors! Not many authors visit the UK, and if they do the events are usually really far away from me so I’ve never been able to go to any. There’s so many authors I am dying to meet, but here’s my top five!
Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah, and if you’re interested in participating or checking out Shanah’s blog, click here!
The Mortal Instruments is one of the major influences for why I like to read. It’s had such a huge impact on me since I read the first book years ago, and I’ve basically grown up with all of the Shadowhunters books. I’d love to just sit and bombard Cassandra Clare with a billion questions about the books and all the characters.
Morgan Matson is one of my all time favourite authors. Every book of hers that I’ve read, I’ve loved so much, and I keep changing my mind on which book of hers is my favourite haha! I’ve watched a few of her interviews and she seems like a really lovely person!
To me, Rick Riordan is the king of mythology books and they’re always so much fun to read. I’ve always been really interested in mythology so it would be really interesting to talk to him about it, and how he adapts it into his books!
I’ve only read the Passenger series by Alexandra Bracken so far, but after finishing them, they became some of my favourites! I really enjoyed the time travel element of the books because I love learning about history, so I would probably spend my time begging her to write a historical fiction novel.
Marissa Meyer is the queen of fairy tale retellings, and if I were to ever write a book it would be a fairy tale retelling because I love them so much! I’d love to meet her and just talk about fairy tales, and how she came up with the inspiration for all of her characters and also get some writing advice!
