Normally I do a Top 5 Tuesday post on Tuesday’s but there is no topic for this week but we could have created our own theme to do. However, as I have so many tags to catch up on, (and because I’m currently away in Scotland right now and have very limited internet to blog hop and reply to comments), I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do the Mystery Blogger Award. I was nominated by Hannah at Words For Everything – thank you so much for nominating me!
- Thank whoever nominated you and include a link to their blog
- Tell your readers three things about yourself
10-20(I chose 5) bloggers you feel deserve the award
- Answer the questions from the person who nominated you
- Ask your nominees 5 questions of your choice, with one weird or funny one
Three (Pretty Boring) Things About Me
I literally have nothing interesting to say and I’ve already mentioned this but when this post goes up, I will be in Scotland! My Mum and I are doing our annual trip to visit family and explore. This year we’re visiting the Isle of Arran which we’ve both been excited about for months!
I’ve finally finished University, yay – although I don’t actually graduate until October, which is so far away! I created this blog when I first started Uni, although I didn’t dedicate that much time to it until around this time last year. The past three years have gone by insanely fast and even though I didn’t enjoy some aspects of University (mainly one of the subjects I chose) I’ve decided to put myself through all the stress again in September by doing a masters degree!
My Goodreads goal for this year is 65 books but I am currently 6 books behind schedule. That probably doesn’t seem like I’m that far behind but it makes me question how I managed to read over 100 books a few years ago. I just don’t get how I did it!
What is your favorite book of all time?
This is such a hard question because I have so many favourite books so it’s impossible to choose. However, I picked a book that I recently read that I loved so much and am recommending to everyone at the moment which is The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven. This was such an incredible book that had so many funny moments, but also loads of empowering moments – definitely one of my favourites so far this year!
If you could meet any author, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
This is another really tricky question because I have so many authors I want to meet. Probably at the top of my list is Rick Riordan because I love his books so much, they’re so creative and so much fun to read. I’d definitely say that Riordan is one of my inspirations when it comes to writing because his books and characters are always so engaging and relatable. Even though I’m probably not the intended audience of his books anymore, he’s always going to be an author that I love.
Where is your dream vacation destination?
Rome! I’ve wanted to visit for years but I’ve never had the time or the money – but one day I will get there!
What are some of your favorite skincare or beauty products?
I don’t tend to wear a lot of make-up, mainly because I’m incredibly pale and I can never find anything that matches my skin colour, but the make-up revolution concealer has been my go-to for a few months now because it doesn’t make me look orange! Alongside that, I’d probably say mascara as well but I don’t have any favourite one, it all does the same job to me haha. My favourite skincare product is Soap and Glory’s Vitamin C Face Wash, it’s the only thing that’s helped my skin over the years.
Do you believe in horoscopes?
Not really – I’ve never given horoscopes that much attention though! I know I’m a Capricorn but that’s about it.
What’s your current favourite TV show?
How do you like to arrange your books on your shelves?
Have you ever been to an author’s signing or to a book convention?
What’s one book you bought because of its cover?
