Finally Fall Book Tag!

I thought now was the perfect time to do an Autumn book tag because the leaves have started turning in the UK and it’s so pretty outside! I was very kindly tagged by Emily at Jump Into the Page, check out her blog here!

In fall, the air is crisp and clear: name a book with a vivid setting

Since I’m already on the topic of seasons, I’m going to choose Snow Like Ashes for this one. The majority of the kingdoms in this book are based on the seasons, and even though I read this book a few years ago, I can still picture each kingdom perfectly. Especially the kingdom of Summer which was pretty intense!

Nature is beautiful… but also dying: name a book that is beautifully written, but also deals with a heavy topic

I recently read this and I’ve had it on my mind ever since. It was so moving but also heartwarming at the same time. I’ll always be thankful that I read it.

Fall is back to school season: share a non-fiction book that taught you something new

I don’t tend to read many non-fiction novels, but Maus will always be an incredibly special one to me. It’s another one that I’m so glad I read and I really can’t recommend it enough.

In order to keep warm, it’s good to spend some time with the people we love: name a fictional family/household/friend-group that you’d like to be a part of

The Song-Covey family will always be my answer for questions like these. I just love their family dynamic so much!

The colourful leaves are piling up on the ground: show us a pile of fall-coloured spines!

I don’t have many Autumnal looking spines, but these are the best ones I could find!

Fall is the perfect time for some storytelling by the fireside: share a book wherein somebody is telling a story.

The nights are getting darker: share a dark, creepy read

I very rarely read creepy books so I don’t actually have an answer for this. City of Ghosts is a book that I really want to read this month though!

The days are getting colder: name a short, heartwarming read that could warm up somebody’s cold and rainy day

P.S. I Like You is such a cheesy read but it made my heart so happy!

Fall (luckily, it’s my favourite season) returns every year: name an old favourite that you’d like to return to soon.

I usually always say that the Harry Potter series is one that I want to re-read all the time, but recently I’ve been wanting to re-read the Percy Jackson series. I feel like it’s probably because I haven’t read any of Rick Riordan’s books in a while, and I miss his writing!

Fall is the perfect time for cozy reading nights: share your favourite cozy reading “accessories”

Fluffy socks and a warm blanket are always my go to reading accessories!

I’m very far behind on my tags again (when am I not???) so I’m not going to tag anyone for this one. However, please feel free to do this tag if you want to and consider yourself nominated!!!

  1. I hope you enjoy City of Ghosts! I’ve just recently finished it and have to say Schwab doesn’t disappoint – yet another great story from her 🙂 Not too scary, which is perfect for me, but it sure was creepy and Halloween worthy hahaha

I have to get back to Snow Like Ashes sometime… I started it but never went beyond the first chapter I think. Anyway, great post Rose ❤
