2018 Wrap-Up!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I hope that everyone had an amazing beginning to 2019 and that it’s the best year for everyone!

Now that it’s a new year, I thought I’d take a look back at 2018 with the help of Goodreads. I don’t use Goodreads as often as I used to, but it’s always the best way to track what books I’ve read during the year (and thankfully it does all the maths for me!)

Here’s my 2018 wrap up!

2018gr

My Goodreads goal for the year was to read 65 books and I was so close to reach it this year. In total, I read 62 books and 22,500 pages which is insane when you see those figures together.

My average rating for books was 4 stars, which I’m not surprised at because I read so many amazing books in 2018. Although I was disappointed by some books, I thankfully, enjoyed more than I ever have before. I’d like to think that’s because I’m really looking into books that I pick up now, so that I know they will be ones that I’ll like.

The majority of the books I read were fantasy (almost 40%) which doesn’t surprise me at all. I also read quite a few thrillers and crime novels which used to be a genre I wasn’t interested in at all, but now I love them. If anyone has any recommendations of YA thrillers or crime, pleaseeeee let me know – I’d love to check them out!

I’m not going to list every single book that I read throughout the year because that would take a very long time. I did upload a blog post on some books that I was disappointed by in 2018, and the link to that is hereif you’re interested. I will also have a blog post going up in a few days time featuring my favourite books that I read in 2018 and I can’t wait to share that with everyone.

Here’s to another year full of great books!
