Year of the Asian Reading Challenge

Happy Wednesday! Today’s post is another Reading Challenge entry for me. I’ve said it before, but I really want to participate in more reading challenges this year so that I can reduce my TBR whilst also having fun. I always challenge myself every year to read more diverse books and when I saw the Year of the Asian Reading Challenge, it was like fate!

This reading challenge is hosted by Lily @Sprinkles of Dreams, CW @The Quiet Pond, Shealea @Shut Up, Shealea, and Vicky @Vicky Who Reads. The rules are really simple: read as many books written by Asian authors as possible! The books must be started and finished in 2019 and can be in any format.

There are different challenge levels to choose from, based upon how many books you want to read. I chose the Malayan Tapir which is 21-30 books which I’m really excited about! With each level that you reach, you get different badges but look how cute the Malayan Tapir is!

I already own quite a few books that I want to read as part of this challenge, and here are just a few of the books that I plan on reading!

Empress of All Seasons by Emiko Jean

Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa

Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman

The Young Elites series by Marie Lu

The Downstairs Girl by Stacey Lee

Descendant of the Crane by Joan He

Circle of Shadows by Evelyn Skye

Three Dark Crowns series by Kendare Blake

I do plan on reading more books for this challenge, but those are the ones that I either own at the moment, or have pre-ordered!

Are you participating in the YARC reading challenge???
