Top 5 Tuesday: Fictional Friendships

Happy Tuesday!

Ahhh fictional friendships… there’s so many to choose from! I’ve picked a few that have been long term favourites, and thrown in a completely different one at the end haha!

Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm and each week there’s a different bookish topic to discuss. If you’re interested in participating, or checking out Shanah’s blog, click here!

Clary and Simon

When I first read The Mortal Instruments, the one thing that stood out to me was Clary and Simon’s friendship. Both characters go through so much throughout the entirety of the series, but they’re so supportive of each other, and they will never let anything stand in their way. I was also super jealous of Clary because I wanted a best friend like Simon!

Will and Jem

Cassandra Clare is the best at writing friendships in her books. Will and Jem quickly became a favourite of mine when I read Clockwork Angel. They bring out the best in each other and are more than just parabati.

The Nowhere Girls

The Nowhere Girls

I’ve talked about the friendships in this book quite a lot but that’s because it’s one of the most positive that I’ve ever read. There’s normally a lot of girl on girl hate in YA books, but this book is completely different. All of the friendships in this book are shown in such supportive and inspiring ways.

Percy Jackson crew

I didn’t know what else to call this friendship group other than Percy’s crew??? They go on so many adventures together (although they are dangerous…) but still manage to find the fun in every situation they’re in.

A.I.D.A.N and Katy

Illuminae

An incredibly weird choice, but there’s just something about these two characters. I don’t know if you could call it a friendship to begin with but by the end of the series I definitely think it is. It’s hard to explain this one without spoiling anything! I guess it’s just a weird one that I like haha.

What are some fictional friendships that you love?
