Summer Book Releases!

This post is going up a little later than planned, but now it fits in better with the start of summer in the UK (although tell that to the weather which has been horrible for the past few weeks!). As of right now, I’m currently on holiday in Scotland. I have no internet until the middle of the week so replies may be a lot slower than normal – I promise I am working on a better bloghopping schedule haha! I have hope that once I get internet, my replies will be a lot faster… I won’t have work so I won’t be exhausted – hopefully!

Anyway, with that long intro out of the way, here are the summer releases that I’m looking forward to the most.

Wilder Girls by Rory Power

Release Date: July 9th

It’s been eighteen months since the Raxter School for Girls was put under quarantine. Since the Tox hit and pulled Hetty’s life out from under her.

It started slow. First the teachers died one by one. Then it began to infect the students, turning their bodies strange and foreign. Now, cut off from the rest of the world and left to fend for themselves on their island home, the girls don’t dare wander outside the school’s fence, where the Tox has made the woods wild and dangerous. They wait for the cure they were promised as the Tox seeps into everything.

But when Byatt goes missing, Hetty will do anything to find her, even if it means breaking quarantine and braving the horrors that lie beyond the fence. And when she does, Hetty learns that there’s more to their story, to their life at Raxter, than she could have ever thought true.

Hawk warrior Tavin has always put Jas’s life before his, magically assuming the prince’s appearance and shadowing his every step. But what happens when Tavin begins to want something to call his own?

Disturbed by a series of ghostly visions, Annaleigh becomes increasingly suspicious that the deaths were no accidents. Her sisters have been sneaking out every night to attend glittering balls, dancing until dawn in silk gowns and shimmering slippers, and Annaleigh isn’t sure whether to try to stop them or to join their forbidden trysts. Because who—or what—are they really dancing with?

When Annaleigh’s involvement with a mysterious stranger who has secrets of his own intensifies, it’s a race to unravel the darkness that has fallen over her family—before it claims her next.
