Top 5 Tuesday: Series I Need To Finish!

Happy Tuesday!

I have the worst habits when it comes to reading series. It happens in one of two ways; it’s a series I’ve been following from the beginning, but I’ve just not picked up any of the later books. OR, I buy all the books in the series (because who can’t resist a bargain?) and only read the first one, completley forgetting that I can binge them.

Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm. If you want to check out Shanah’s blog, and her post, click here!

And I Darken by Kiersten White

The final book in this series came out a year ago (I think? Or almost a year ago) and I still haven’t read it. I get so incredibly nervous when it comes to the end of a series. I’m afraid that the finale will be disappointing and that then makes changes my opinion on the first few books. It’s a horrible feeling but I’ve been avoiding this one for way too long now,

The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski

I’ve had all three books for over five years now and only read the first one. Why? WHO KNOWS WHY! I remember really enjoying the first one, but other books got in the way. I just never got around to picking up the next book. I am planning on reading them at some point, but to do that, I’ll need to re-read the first book.

The Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan

It’s so unusual for me to be behind on Riordan’s books, but here we are. I’m behind on this series, as well as the Magnus Chase ones. I read the first Trials of Apollo book back in 2016, and I found it hilarious – I think I even said it was the funniest book of his ever. Why I didn’t just continue on with the books, I don’t know.

The Dark Artificies by Cassandra Clare

Cassandra Clare knows how to write an epic conclusion. That should have been enough to make me pick up Queen of Air and Darkness as soon as I got my copy. But nope. I’ve avoided it. I’m just way too scared of everything – the ending of Lord of Shadows was heartbreaking!

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

This is a series that I’m a little unsure of and that’s partly why it’s stayed unread for so long. Like I previously mentioned, whenever I see books on offer, I buy them because cheap books are great. I bought the three books over the span of a couple of months a few years ago. I read the first one, and I thought it was okay, not enough to push me into picking up the next book ASAP. But I’ve heard mixed things about the rest of the books. I’m not sure if it’s one that I’m still 100% invested in. Let me know your thoughts on the books!
