5 Star Predictions: Blogtober Day 7

It’s the beginning of another week and what better way to kick it off than thinking about all the books that I want to read that I hope will be a 5 star read. Looking back on my Goodreads page, I haven’t rated that many books 5 stars this year. A lot of the books that I was really excited about let me down, whilst books that I wasn’t expecting much from blew me away.

I chosen 2019 releases for this list because those are the ones that I can’t stop thinking about. So here are my 5 star predictions!

The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh

Vampires are making a comeback with this one and I feel like that’s reason enough to *hope* that I’ll give it 5 stars. There’s been so much hype around this book that it’s impossible not to be excited about it.

Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin

It was only really at the beginning of summer that I first heard about this book and as each week went by, I found myself being drawn back to the synopsis. It just sounds incredible and one that I won’t be able to put down. I’m planning on picking it up as soon as I’ve finished my current read, so I’ll find out very quickly whether it’s a 5 star read and I can’t wait!

Queen of Nothing by Holly Black

Queen of Nothing

I didn’t think I could love the faerie realm as much as I do now. Before I just had ‘eh’ feelings about faerie books, but after reading The Cruel Prince, I completely understand why Holly Black is known as the Faerie Queen. The series is unlike anything that I’ve ever read before, and The Queen of Nothing is the number one book that I’ve been anticipating for the whole year. November can’t come quick enough.

The Grace Year by Kim Liggett

THEGRACEYEAR

I’ve seen so many reviews for this one recently and with each one, the book just sounds better and better. It’s so difficult not to get swept into the hype, but I am… and I want this book. I want to love it as much as everyone else!

The Merciful Crow by Margaret Owen

I read the synopsis for this one ages ago and that’s what drew me in to begin with. And then I read the reviews; like always, some were negative, but there was an overwhelming amount of positive ones that I couldn’t ignore any longer. The magic system sounds so interesting, as well as the caste system, and at this point, I’m crossing my fingers and toes that it’ll be a 5 star read.
